2024 HRP Scholarship Recipients Announced

For the sixteenth consecutive year, the Houston Relocation Professionals have organized a scholarship program to address the needs of students who have relocated during their high school careers. These students face all the usual stresses associated with relocation in addition to being at a scholastic disadvantage due to credit and grade transferability difficulties between school systems. This scholastic disadvantage translates into a competitive disadvantage when competing for coveted university scholarships and grants.

Honoring the HRP mission of community outreach, HRP funds two $2,500.00 scholarships to students meeting strict relocation requirements. The scholarship was offered to Seniors at 72 Houston area high schools. Applications received were evaluated by a team of 5 HRP relocation professionals on the basis of grade point averages, class rankings, standardized test scores, extracurricular and community activity as well as their personal story as told through a 1,000 word essay.

After much deliberation, we selected Kaytlyn E. Reed attending University of Tennessee Knoxville and Jordan Waugh attending Texas A&M Galveston and to receive our scholarship.
